Shu is the god of air. Shu was the first to be created by Ra, and Ra spat him out in Shu's birth. Shu is the husband and brother of Tefnut and father of Nut and Geb. Shu was believed to be what gave people their breath. His bones were the clouds, and he escorted the souls of the dead into heaven. Shu held an ankh and a scepter to represent life and power.
