Tefnut is said to be the personification of moisture in the sky. She is the mother of Geb and Nut, and is married to Shu. Tefnut's mother is Atum, but doesn't have a said father. Her mother soon married Ra, and they joined his family.
Tefnut's symbols include a throne, rain, and lions. She is often depicted as a person with a solar disk circled with two cobras on her head. She is also depicted as a person with a lioness head, or sometimes as a lioness.
